Surfing in Newcastle, Australia

About 2 hours north of Sydney lies Newcastle, Australia.  This town looks like it is transitioning from a declining working class town to more of a hip surf town and that it's mid-way through that transition.  The beaches here are small and a bit scraggly compared to other areas, but the surf is great!
