SURFING IN WESTPORT, WASHINGTON, USA

Westport, Washington, USA is the best place to surf in all of Washington State not just for the consistency of the waves, but also for the friendly surf community that gathers at the State Park.  I've met the full range of surfers here in the parking lot - young hot shots, old farts (like me), wandering nomads, city people, country people, loggers, teachers, CEOs... you get the picture.  But they all mix together unpretentiously to create a fun and friendly environment.  Most important, you'll find uncrowded waves and lots of big days.  Be prepared though with a thick wetsuit, booties, and gloves as the water is cold, cold, cold.
